Travel tips for the festive season
EXPECT heavy traffic and delays at the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints until Dec 27, and from New Year's Eve to Jan 3, said the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in a statement this week. It offered these tips:
Avoid driving during these peak periods, if possible. Maintain lane discipline at checkpoints. Ensure you have your own passport. The ICA has found several instances of travellers presenting the wrong passport. Check the traffic conditions at the checkpoints before heading out by calling the traffic information hotline on 6863-0117 or getting traffic updates on the radio or www.onemotoring.com.sg Planning to stay out late on New Year's Eve?
